Abdij Ulingsheide

Ulingsheide Abbey near Tegelen was established in 1884 as a daughter house of Westmalle Abbey, set up to shelter German Trappist novices during the Kulturkampf. After merging with Lilbosch Abbey in 2002 it continued as an annex, and by the early 2020s the property was under negotiation for sale to developers.
