Description

Drongen Abbey stands on the River Leie in the Ghent district of Drongen and played an important religious and economic role in the region for centuries. Its preserved conventual buildings and the octagonal 1734 abbey church, now the parish church of Sint-Gerolf, have been a protected monument since 1998.
