Pernis

Pernis is a small village on the island of IJsselmonde, tucked between Rotterdam's harbours, though it has been part of the municipality of Rotterdam since 1934. Despite its industrial surroundings, the village, which probably originated in the thirteenth century, has kept its own village-like atmosphere.
