Description

The Maasvlakte lighthouse, also known as Kustlicht Maasvlakte, was built in 1974 to a design by W. Colenbrander and once marked the entrance to the Nieuwe Waterweg. At 62 metres it is the tallest lighthouse in the Netherlands, though it has been inactive as a navigational light since 2008.
