Zorgvlied

Zorgvlied is a cemetery on the Amsteldijk in Amsterdam, on the west bank of the Amstel, opened in 1870 and still owned by the municipality of Amstelveen. Since a boundary change in 1896 it has lain within Amsterdam's city limits, and it is known for the many notable writers and performers buried there. Sculpted monuments beneath old riverside trees give it a distinctive, park-like character.
