Abdij Notre-Dame d'Orval

Orval Abbey, founded in 1132 in the Gaume region, is a Cistercian monastery famous for its Trappist beer and abbey cheese. The ruins of the old abbey church standing beside the still-active monastery give the site an evocative, timeless atmosphere.
