Baarnse Bos

Utrecht· Forest
Description

The Baarnse Bos covers roughly 80 hectares opposite Soestdijk Palace, following a spur of the Utrecht Ridge where wooded higher ground gives way to the lower meadows near the Eem river. As one of the few well-preserved eighteenth-century park forests in the Netherlands, it was designated a national monument in 1999 under the name De Eult.
