Eemmeer

Utrecht· Nature reserve
Description

The Eemmeer is a peripheral lake between the provinces of Utrecht, Flevoland and North Holland, created in 1968 during the reclamation of Southern Flevoland. The river Eem flows into it here, and near Spakenburg a graveyard of old fishing-boat wrecks recalls the area's maritime past.
